What's the Town doing to support more solar in Chapel Hill?

• The Town maintains rooftop solar arrays at various Town facilities, including  Fire Station #1, the Library and the Town Operations Center. 
• Recently, the Town--in partnership with Orange County and the Town of Carrboro--applied for designation as a SolSmart community. The SolSmart program, funded through the US Department of Energy, provides technical assistance aimed at helping Chapel Hill enhance opportunities for local solar energy generation. In August, the Town was awarded Gold Level Designation within the SolSmart Program.
