Monitoring Winter Weather
The National Weather Service is forecasting the possibility of winter weather Monday. We're monitoring the forecast and will share Town-related updates on this page as necessary.
Facility & Service Changes
Chapel Hill Transit
- Service is scheduled to end at 10pm on Monday, December 8
- Service is scheduled to resume at 10am on Tuesday, December 9

Solid Waste
- Residential and commercial trash collection will be delayed by two hours on Tuesday, December 9
Chapel Hill Public Library
- Scheduled to close at 3pm on Monday, December 8, evening programs canceled
- Scheduled to open at 1pm on Tuesday, December 9, morning programs canceled
Parks and Recreation
- All indoor facilities scheduled to close at 3pm on Monday, December 8
- All indoor facilities scheduled to open at 1pm on Tuesday, December 9
- Hargraves after school program is canceled Monday, December 8, due to Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools closure

- it's dangerous, call 911.
- it's on public property, report it at our Resident Reporter Center.
- it's not on public property, call a tree company or wait until it's safe to clear it.
